New Area of Surface Current is now available in MaxSea CHOPPER

Posted: Friday, August 31, 2007 2:46 PM (RST)

2007 AUGUST,

MaxSea Chopper interface allows you to receive weather forecasts by emails with several marine data: weather, waves, wind, currents… that you can automatically overlay onto your charts

A new area of surface current is now available in Chopper!

  • The area is nearly worldwide: Atlantique, Pacifique, Australia… Nevertheless, North (47°N) is no longer covered: Alaska, North Europe , Canada.
  • One forecast per day.

Surface current : indicating rising water and therefore rising nutrients and phytoplankton. Cold eddies are zones where pelagic fish are likely to find their food. Surface currents and eddy zones offer highly complementary, useful data, completely free of charge and on a flexible basis via the MaxSea Chopper interface (choice of zone, size of the zone, etc.).

Those information usually come from official organismes and are free of charge. Maxsea do not provide them so we cannot guarantee their reliability, their change, their cover etc…

We keep searching best potential providers for free of charges and reliable data in order to give our customers quality weather forecasts.
