MaxSea Instrument Support

MaxSea communicates with all NMEA 0183 compliant marine equipment via a  serial connection to your PC. Depending on the MaxSea product and options, this equipment could include GPS, depth, wind, AIS, seabed classification devices, and more.

MaxSea-NavNet : you can easily integrate your MaxSea-NavNet to the NavNet network. Linked by a simple Ethernet cable to your Furuno equipment, MaxSea-NavNet is a plug and play package.

MaxSea uses this data like no other plotter or software:

Build and Display 3D Databases of the Ocean Bottom - With the 2D/3D Personal Bathy Generator available in our commercial fishing and sport fishing products, an accurate 3D representation of the ocean bottom can be built and displayed.

Show Upwind and Downwind Laylines - With the Performance Module available with our sailing products, MaxSea can show upwind and downwind laylines in real-time with data coming from your the vessel's instruments.

AIS Displays - With the AIS tracking option available in our commercial fishing and work boat products, AIS targets can be displayed on your chart.

All data coming in from your instruments can be captured in a detailed logbook and is available to you at all times in the floating Nav palette display on your chart screen.
