The professional Target tracking module of MaxSea

The professional Target tracking module of MaxSea allows to track on a digital chart, in real time, in a clear and detailled manner,  le movement of AIS and ARPA targets, as well as Fishing buoys.
The MKD system allows to easily key in vessel data to be uploaded to the vessel’s AIS, and to send short messages.

You can name individually each target, give it a specific color attribute, make up mobile groups,  etc. MaxSea offers you a flexibility really adapted to your own needs:

  • A graphic representation of targets on a chart : target movements are shown in real time on the chart. You can easily distinguish each type of mobile (AIS or ARPA or Fishing buoy).
  • A Mobile Catalog : The catalog gathers all data available in MaxSea. You can choose to only display data about AIS targets, or about ARPA for example.
  • The Mobile Center : This is like your « control panel ». This board allows you to list all details available in real time about targets. You can sort them, and may for example choose to only display on your chart the 10 closest targets.

  • Zone monitoring :

MaxSea can warn you each time a suspect movement has occurred in the area(s) you have defined as areas to be monitored.
A suspect movement can be a target entering, or leaving the area, or moving again inside the area after having stopped for a while.

MaxSea interfaces with all ECDIS and NMEA compliant serial connections and pilot ports. We can supply all the cables and adapters you need so you can connect your PC easily.

With the AIS Mobile Center, you see all the details for any vessel with a single mouse click.

MaxSea's MKD (Minimum Keyboard Device) is another useful feature.

Instead of keying in data from the AIS unit for sending Short Messages (SMS) or security

warnings to other AIS carriers, or to upload voyage data, do it directly from MaxSea. MaxSea simplifies this task and saves you time when you most need it.

ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Aids) equipped radar is now more affordable than ever, making it a great tool for collision avoidance on both large and small vessels. While these systems produce some wonderful data, they are not always easy to use, and when displayed on a small yacht-sized radar screen, can be difficult to interpret. That's where the MaxSea ARPA module comes in.

MaxSea's ARPA module displays targets with a track of each course overlaid on your navigation screen. You can click on a target to find its speed, heading, and TCPA (Closest Point of Approach.) For each target, you can also open a data dialog box, which continually displays the latest data transmitted from that target. MaxSea can also display the TCPA graphically on your electronic chart.

You can give each target an individual name, and make notes in its data dialog box. This information, together with target tracks, can be stored for future reference.

Fishing buoys

You can also track Serpe, Ryokusei or Linemaster fishing buoys. MaxSea will mark and record the position, course, and speed for each point of the track of your buoys. If the buoys are equipped with an add-on sensor, temperature will also be recorded. This information allows you to precisely locate buoys and evaluate the distance, time and fuel necessary to rendezvous with them as well as determining if drift and temperature conditions are favorable.

Detailed information about each target can be viewed in the Mobile Center.
